You're NOT The Average of 5 People
I’m sure you’ve heard this Jim Rohn quote before “You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.”
This was pre-social media so the amount of influence you’re affected by has drastically increased.
Not only are the 5 people you’re around the most or having a healthy work environment important but also the 5 places you frequent online are too.
Because thoughts & perspectives are contagious.
Once a thought repeatedly goes through your mind it becomes a belief and changes your reality.
If you spend time with people with negative values, beliefs & thoughts you’ll subconsciously begin to take them on.
Even if you’re sound of mind the stress of fighting off negative thoughts daily is very draining & eventually leads to burnout or depression.
Who are you spending most of your time with?
What type of content are you consuming?
Who do you follow online?
Do they elevate or negate your life?
Take stock and make the necessary changes and I promise you’ll feel a shift.
